    free bets ...utilisation

this is how I handle them.
first you need to qualify for your free bet with an inaugural bet of the same amount.
always choose the maximum free bet ... £50 in this example.
look for short priced epl team back it with bookie £50 then lay it on betfair £50. always look for a team at same /similar lay odds as back odds.

whatever the result the free bet should only cost less than £1.

for the free £50 I look for a team about 5.0 or more that is a similar price on betfair.

then simply dutch the home/away/draw to guarantee an equal profit whatever the outcome.

    so an example:
    50@5.0 with bookie away win
    139.3@1.8 with befair home win
    69.62@3.6 with betfair draw.
    10@6.0 with betfair away win

unfortunately about £20 has been lost here due to the over round of the odds and the insurance away bet.

ultimately I usually make between £28 and £34 profit depending on the odds obtained.

would be interested in the methods others employ.

Yea thats pretty much what I do

Though for the free bet - I just match that off but as the SNR (Stake is not returned) you must back a higher odd thing (such as correct score or HT/FT - if its football/soccer)

    So eg.
Deposit and place £50 on arsenal at 1.2 at online bookmaker
    lay at 1.25 on Betfair
    - you will lose about 1-2£ but this is regardless of outcome (*ie - wheter arsenal win/lose or draw0

Then with the £50 (usually SNR)
back another match 1-1 at say, 10.00
and lay at 11.00 (on betfair as price is usually better/higher there) for a GTD profit of about 40 quid here, and again regardless of whter that match ends 1-1

Of course, the closer the prices the better profit margins

Its known as Match Betting I think

    thanks for that sonic.:hattip:

will you be losing money if the free bet match finishes 1-1?

think you need an extra fiver on that at bf to make your profit.

on the other hand it would only happen 1 time in 10 at those odds.

have a free bet at boyles spare at the moment. just wondering if I can get 9/1 odds at boyles laid off at 10/1 bfair?

if I can then your method should be more profitable.

didn't look too far but found Sund v Newc , correct score 1-1

    boyles back 50@6.5
    bfair lay 45@7.2

    then backed on bfair 8.3@7.0

    so profit 50-5-8.3= 36.7

not bad for a few minutes work

    cheers Sonic:beer:
