Obviousy the 2011 grand national is a tough race to predict, with about 40 runners, thirty fences and 4.5 miles of aintree track on which to fall over! Does anyone fancy sharing their grand national tips for this year??

My thoughts:

In terms of stamina, It's pretty obvious that a particular horse must been victorious over at least a 3 miles race to be considered a reasonable contender (the last twenty winners have managed this feat)

In terms of jumping and balance, obviously horses with history of falling are not likely to maintain their balance/composure and win.

Can anyone share any insight into who might win and why, or other important variables to consider???
