    Tv Roulette

Came across Pitch TV on 848 the other night. Had a small bet and it wasnt too bad. Presenters were OK. Has anyone else tried it?

I don't understand why anybody would play this sort of thing. With real roulette and real horse-racing, at least you can actually see the ball being thrown around the wheel and the horses running at top speed. With these TV (and online) simulations there's nothing to suggest that they aren't fixed in favour of the house. We already know TV stations don't give a damn about defrauding phone contestants. That happened so universally across different networks that one can only conclude that they probably made them in the first place just to screw extra money out of people- not that they were once virtuous and faltered from the righteous path. No way would I gamble money on any simulation of roulette or horse-racing. Those games are only possibly worth playing at all for the excitement of a live casino or race, and not for the odds you get, at least with roulette. With simulated horse-racing, how are you supposed to even know what the house's edge is? It could be massive and it's not like the horse's have histories that one can use to predict the future from.

What confuses me about virtual house racing is, why do they have different odds for each horse?! If there's no form? (Or is there?!)

I would guess that typically the odds a horse has relates to the proportion of the time it wins. But I can't see why not, just as each race is starting, they could calculate which horse winning would mean they have to pay out the least, and then just make that horse win.
