ukgf members... lack of interest? or lazyness?

ok.... now, ive been away for 5ish months, through no fault of my own, and after spending 6 days in the shadow of the site im appauled to see the drop in regular members logging on to the site each day!!! whats going on?... this time last year the site was topping 60-100 posts every two days.. now were lucky to get 6-10!!!!

im awear that "its the time of the year" ect... but thats crap... christmas... too busy... spring... no time... summer... better thing to do... autumn... working towards christmas... so on n so on... THE SITE HAS GROUND TO A HAULT!!!!!

now in light of what has happened with certain staff members leaving.... tealuc being a twatt and bad mouthing the site owner, ste clark taking a back seat due to family issues, { more than understandable} im starting to wonder if the so called faithfull only bothered because of the free cash in games the site offered...

its amazing that as soon as the freerolls and leagues slow down a little.... the post count drops by 90%.....

you guys have to remember that this site is based on its members.... and its all good and well signing.....being a member with a post count of 500 odd having your trophies and accolades.....but if ure not gunna post and keep the forum spark alive... attracting new members and make the effort to get involved more....

WHAT THE FOOK IS THE POINT IN ALEX BUSTING HIS BALLS TO KEEP THINGS GOING FOR US ALL !!!!!!!

admin and staff... supermods, forum leaders give up there own time to keep things ticking over... finding, advertising and arranging the best games for all of us... constantly keep on top of the spammers... at rediculas hours of the morning so you dont have to read a load of crap... yet all we give in return is the two fingered salute and the most have jumped ship?????



please feel free to leave a comment on my post... and if possible, contribute and add..... im sure the staff will not edit any opinion you may have so feel free to be honest and truthfull in your opinion/explanation as to what the hell has happened to what is.. in my opinion, the best gambling forum on the net

For myself I have lots of free time at the mo because I'm laid up with sciatica but don't contribute anywhere as much as I used to simply because I'm not up to it. I'm also not playing poker as much so I'm not getting involved in the forum games.

I also feel Alex has some responsibility for aggravating certain ex members tho I feel they were over-sensitive and on at least one occasion I berated a 'leaving' post.

Alex has a grudge against a certain other forum which he is keen to shout out about. If he were a little more tactful things might have gone better.

The other problem you've already mentioned is the freeroll whores who are never going to be loyal members but only participate for the added value.

as you all know.. i argue every week with some poor soul on here... i dont think theres a member of 2 years or over that i havnt had a complete slanning match with but not one person has ever said...." thats it.. im leaving" because of a dfissagreement"... poker is a mine field... and you have to fight your corner... but we all kiss n make up for the next game!!!..... sertain people overstepped the mark but thats neither here nor there......... all i want to know is what the mr burns butt hole is going on?

It works both ways mick.. Altho people like to forget that. E.g. When alex wakes up and finds an "ex-member" has posted on 3 different forums slating him for allegedly stating he would not be paying up the ukgf football prediction league prizes (I mean wtf!) , alex will certainly kick up a stink (it's an excuse to use a few expletives after all), and is bloody well entitled to do so. These Ex members have caused nowt but strife for ukgf in the long run. Obviously there are a few bad eggs in every basket.

if people don't want to post/visit etc, thats ok - they are only screwing themselves out of a lot of value (eg our $300 added with 12 runners the other night)..

posts make prizes baby.

well i always check the site every few hours when online sometimes i post a few replies sometime none depends what mood i am in and on what the subject is . Dont post crap well not to much i hope if not got a good thing to say i dont slag people off . - On a serious note all the above posts regarding traffic through the site are true. To be honest I'm also guilty to a degree of slowing down my post count, but when you don't even get them viewed hardly sometimes feels futile bothering. I still promote the site endlessly online whilst playing trying to drum up new members but it is a catch 22 situation. You can get them to the site to check it out but if not regular posts and they can see that then a lot of times they will not follow up on their inital visit. So to be honest it is the responsibility of all members to try to get things back to where they where, so c'mon guya and gals

I Discovered this site a few months ago and stopped visiting because the pages took ages to load. I've had my arm twisted to come back so i will give it another go!:thumb:
