is there any one else who is thinking about quiting for the ban that is imminent? i would like to but several prevoius attempts have resulted in failure, one lasting a whole 26 mins. personaly i cant understand the mentality of the government bringing this to law, they say it costs the nhs 1.6 billion a year to treat smoking related illnesses, but the revenue produced from tobacco sales is 3 fold. it costs 19p to produce a pack of 20, little over £1 of that gose to the manufactur, and the rest gose into mr browns little shabby red briefcase!!! yes, this will drastically reduce the nhs bill each year, after a time laps of a generation or so, but in the short term, this will force them to find the funds else where, council tax rises, duty rises, alcohol rises and so on...... gunna be robing peter to pay paul, and the whole nation will feel the fall out...

i agree i stopped for 13 months then started again then i stopped for 13 weeks and started again this year.......one word for the problem to you all it is ZYBAN lol it works wonders if you like to read the 7000 word list of allergys that comes with them....im ok though.......cock a doodle doo zip lurg deedoo

I agree with every word you say arlingtonleisure so won't add anything to it :confused: and ste I think arlington is on about normal fags not the funny things you set fire too :D 13, thought it was meant to be a lucky number ! in your trials at packing in ste it appears to be your downfall m8, then again thinking about it you was born on the 13th too (could be something in that) I was born on the 13th myself so shall not even attempt to give up the weed on the overwhelming evidence of ste's failure around the number 13 In light of this valuable clinical trial ste, something should be telling you to stop playing A3 m8 :D

The smoking ban came up here months ago. I was kicked out of a nightclub on the 1st night of it, because i forgot about it and sparked up a fag. The strange thing was, i had already smoked a few before they pulled me up lol. Anyway, i decided to quit and did well for 3 days or so but now im resigned to countless trips outside clubs and pubs in the wind and rain. I plan to quit this week (again) and this time im intent on going the distance. It's going to be tough, i know that, but im sick of being dependent on fags. Hopefully, my willpower will see me through this time as i don't fancy patches or gum etc. I used to be really fit but after 9 years of being addicted to the cancer sticks im out of breath after climbing just a few flights of stairs. I really can't wait to be free of the nicotine urges and i'll keep you all posted on my progress.
