yeah it does take a lot of time agreed but i play for the social fun side really never play with what i cant afford to lose etc ,i been playin for 5years also and have had some good trips out of it probably about 7 of em and enjoyed em all.. got a game on saturday in Leeds from the poker player magazine so that should be fun.. i think johnjohn would agree though about the getting fatter thing hes like a beach ball with fingers lol.

as long as you enjoy it-- do it imo!

you should optimise your day a bit more john imo.
Game select more, find out which games you have the biggest edge in and play them exclusively.

Tell us more about where/what you play!
It's easy to hit a brick wall in poker - but with some thought and effort you can definitely overcome and crush it if you want to if you put the effort in.

I had months of being breakeven a few years ago (so I guess I was a 'rakeback pro'), then a year or 2 of being v profitable (mtts) - and now after a hiatus from poker, i am back blasting a 40% ROI and play only a small but highly profitable selection of tournaments (I'm a donkament player) - so I know first-hand the difference that small things [brm, game selection, learning materials] can make to the big picture.

    More info please?

    cheers

and as fear posted , i play for fun , obvious winning is good but i play small with what i can afford but overall i am up by quite a few k , my total outlay from pocket is £200 maximum and would say that i have won around £5k , i am not in alex or ste's league but not bad for playing for fun
