I've been playing quite a few of the Betfair freerolls recently - I'm determined to qualify for something!! Quite a few top 30 finishes and I was 13/1000 on Friday (they're limited to 1000). Yesterday I was 9/13/1000 when this happened. ( nerissimo was leader but was playing very LAG, making lots of big raises preflop and on the river. I've been waiting for the right hand to take him on.)

And with his flush on the river I'm out in 13th again.
I suppose I could have shoved preflop but I felt that with the high pair I was so far ahead of his range it was worth letting him play. I thought the flop was fairly safe for me, in particular as I had one of the higher clubs, but raised to give him wrong odds to chase a flush.
Did I play this right? Comments anyone?
I think that is fine, he got lucky hand before with the split and then caught his flush (without odds), but it was clear he was there to gamble
Tiger this guy is a complete muppet you played it fine got him where you wanted him but got donked big time, unlucky mate
