texas holdem poker tournament strategy

I am thinking about going down to vegas for fun to play in a couple of holdem tournaments.
What are the best hands to play with to start and what is a good strategy to last long in a big tournament?

MTT:

Take good mental notes on people, see who is weak and who is strong (from their actions)

Early:
super tight/nitty , don't play anything out of pos, don't limp trash hands, dont enter a pot without a premium hand after a raise. Raise PPs, AK, avoid 3 way pots unless you have the nuts.

Mid: Loosen ur raising range in late pos and steal blinds, if table is nitty abuse this. play for doubles and dont be afraid to RR weak players to steal. Don't be afraid to 3 barrel air and shove on the river if you think your opponent will fold top pair. you want a fat stack for near FT bubble.

Late: Kill everyone. Abuse the bubble etc.

Final table:
standard. wait, abuse and get 1st. Standard SNG strategy will get you places if you adjust for the crazy mtt payouts.
Sitting tight if med stacked is ok to get up the ladder but you wanna gamble for the win if you get into a slightly +EV spot and you are shortish. If you are CL selectively abuse the med stacks and avoid confrontations with smallstacks as they are obv in pushfold mode (unless u are confident u are ahead obv). Run good and win.

tbh if you play the standard way of playing they'll pick up on you straight away mix your game up a little get in as cheap as pos with your marginal hands (suited connecters) ect and rinse em Good luck
