UKGF goes WSOPE

Last year i won a ticket to event 1 at the WSOPE 2009 at Betfair in a freeroll. I won the buyin for the event (GBP 1000 + 75) and GBP 500 travelingmoney.



And finally it's almost there :D Next week I'm off to London to play event 1 of the WSOPE.

well how did it go?

Not that good, after 4 hours of solid play I got my pocketkings in preflop against AJ against Fabian Dunlop (who ended in 2nd place for about GBP 85K lol) He had the ace of clubs I had the king of clubs and the dealer had a lot of clubs. If you combine that, my K high flush lost from his A high flush, we had the same amount of chips, I went out and he won 85k

But it was fun in London. Betfair arranged everything fine, met a lot of people I normally only would see on TV and unless my quicky I managed to to take some UK pokermoney with me back to the Netherlands

O and I was on TV.....lol....

Was sitting next to Julian Thew (I didn't know the guy, til they interviewed him), I'm the guy on his right, playing with the bottle of water lol.

Whoa! Julian Thew from Team PokerStars Pro?! i remember he won the main event at EPT Baden in season 4 and picking up €670,800. (such a huge money-lucky to him!) He also has had success elsewhere, winning main events.
