What computer spec for Poker Sites

Hi all, just wondering what spec computers or laptops you guys use for todays Poker Sites, I am using a basic Dell Inspiron laptop 1.5 Mghz with 512 mb of ram and I am really struggling to run such sites as 3D and World 3D, whenever I have these two sites running I have to closedown everything else and still my processor is running at Fulltilt, sorry that's confused matters should have said 100% I am getting to the point where I feel I need to upgrade to a better laptop or upgrade this one. I can put up to 2 gig of memory in it but I am not sure if memory is the problem, I think it is more to do with my processor speed of 1.5 Mghz. Do any of you out there use computers of 1.5 Mghz or less and do you experience any problems on certain sites? I know that sites such as PKR recommend at least 1.5 Mghz processor speed and suggest 2 Mghz as optimum, I'm guessing with all the improvements on sites over the last 3 years that some of the lower spec sites are now a lot bigger and need more processor power for them to run smoothly, any feedback would be appreciated :duh: What is the most important spec in a computer for playing Poker online, Processor speed, memory or video capability ?

    Im using an

    AMD X64 3800+
    2GB RAM
    1.2TB Hard drive
    512mb graphics i think

and sooon to be a 32inch LCD telly/monitor!

I would recommend a high processor and decent memory as places such as betfair dont like poor pcs lol

also...some dont work if you dont have the likes of service pack 2 for xp etc

Therein lies the problem, I moved from playing poker in the dining room on a desktop to playing in the living room on a laptop ( just so the wife doesn't think I have deserted her), I guess I just need a bloody good laptop as I havn't the space for a desktop in the living room :banger:
Does anyone play on a laptop and if so do you experience any problems on certain sites ?

    i play on a lappy,

    1.5Ghz,
    512MB RAM
40GB HD (inc 160GB ext HD)

absolutely fine but then i don't play on any of the 3D sites.

was it poker liberation we had a freeroll on that everyone was saying software was a bit slow? that's the only one i've had bother with.

Thanks for the feedback scottiedawg, virtually identical lappie to me, shame you don't play the 3d sites would have been interesting to see how they played on yours. I used to have a problem with Liberation but I think it was the software rather than the lappie, since the latest site updates I have had no probs with lib, cheers m8 :thumb:
