    virgin adsl router settings

I need the settings to get my wireless router to connect to virgin adsl... can someone screengrab their router settings (theres about 10 values that need to be entered, not including user/pass)....

I can't find the info on virgin's website and I bought my own adsl router rather than watiing for the fucking postal strike to end (wednesday)...

I don't think you can use your own router for virgin broadband...

    ahwell

alex i pm'd you about this some days ago, basically due to me being on sky broadband and a computer nerd and the problems that most people have with there routers being crap many people tried to use there own router instead now this was possible if you already had the sky router as you could obtain the username and password from the sky router with the help of some software ( read skyuser.co.uk forumn for details).

    NOTE

sky and many other providers embed there own username and password on there routers to your mac address so when the signal is sent out sky/others recognise the user/pass and allow connection. to use another router that is not theres voids the terms and conditions but you can do this, but you have to have the router in the first place as the username/pass is locked to the device and not given out beforehand.

To the best of my knowledge this is impossible without the router being in your possesion unless you know someone from the provider who could tell you it, but i may be wrong, side note if you have a wireless card on either your laptop or desktop then you can hack/share someone elses network while your waiting but you will have to pm for details on how to do this as its slightly illegal lol:biggrin:
